I personally the think the 1st chocolate is nicer looking and that the 2nd chocolate is just a desperate attempt to cash in on an already aging phone. Some people say chocolate never goes bad or gets old, well it does.

I chose the Blue Mint color, and it looks pretty sweet. The phone is more rounded around edges and has, as others have pointed out, touch-pad buttons or whatever they're called, and the scroll wheel has some added functionality also.
Of course I may have never chosen it had it not been free, but I'm happy with it now that I have it. Works really well.
