Just wondering if anyone could point me towards software that monitors & reports CPU/Motherboard temperature. If the program warns you when temps are too high that's a definite plus...Ideally I want freeware but willing to pay a bit if I have to.
I have a Dell Dimension E521 Desktop (unfortunately.) with an AMD processor, running Windows XP.
Thanks!
You'll find it doesn't support all hardware and requires some knowledge of your computer, but Motherboard Monitor is a nice freeware option that displays your temps in the Notification Area by the clock and sounds audio alerts if they exceed user-defined temps. Everest and SpeedFan, both freeware, also offer information about your current temperatures but they don't provide the 'on-demand' access of motherboard monitor.
Hope this helps,
John
Thanks, I'll check them out
