hey guys, i know most of you know that you cannnn actually get video to play on the nano, if not .. here http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6974467646937874348
.. but i just have an idea, if regular people are able to do this to their nano's, why hasn't apple caught on and done this also? Are they afraid it will take away sales from the ipod video? I personally wouldn't mind watching video on my nano, cause unlike the ipod video, it fits in my pockets un-noticed. All apple basically has to do, is redesign the firmware on the nano and make it video enabled.. so.. basically.. WHAT"S STOPING YOU APPLE?!?! Commonnnn.. please.. do us all a favor.. *wink* *wink* ; )
it's called iPod Linux. Check out: http://ipodlinux.org/Main_Page
i know you can do it via linux, but why can't apple do it? i just got my nano, but i don't want to ruin it by converting it to linux, just in case something goes wrong.
...under your caps-lock key.
I'm gonna disagree with that, but nicely put either way. iPod Videos have much larger storage and screens, and I don't think nano with video would make people turn away from it..
I know I wouldn't.
But can you imagine the frivolous lawsuits?? "Movie-watching on iPod Nano made my eyes weaker and was painful to go through..184 million plz"
Alex
to watch TV on a 2 inch screen.
rockbox has a faster startup than linux but both are only available for the fist generation nano (the firmware is encrypted of something)
to bad theres no way of deleting the ipod firmware and just installing linux or rockbox
