Would appreciate if someone could advise on how protect the mp3 info (Artist, Album, Song Name, etc) from editing by others?

Tagscanner

I'm not sure how permanent the locks are, but if you tag an mp3 with tagscanner and then click the subtitle (for instance if your tagging the Title, click the Title label after you put the title in), it declares the tag Locked.
