Just a joke guys, Its not the t.v. that bothers me awsome picture etc, but its the idea that your looking at a picture on a wall not that great movie theater experience that you get with a front projection set up they do look sweet in an encloset cabinit thou stewee
can't understand a dang word you said...!
cabinets are old school! just big boxes that get in my way! a picture is a picture, regardless where you've viewing it... only the quality matters! ![]()
of course, i realize that i'd have one if i wanted a bigger pic than 60" or so...
To me its the movie theater experience and a screen with a wall behind it makes it look like a picture on a wall in other words to me it just doesent look rite mabey if you put some curtains on the sides like in a movie theater it might look ok The most perfect set up is a front project system you get the feeling you are in a real movie theater yess Iam nuts ha hasteweee
you mean like the theaters where the picture looks like it's on the wall and not in a big box!!?!?!?!?
you can't have it both ways (even though you tried in your post!)
it don't matter - enjoy your set!
My Vizio is wall mounted on a bracket purchased at Sam's Club, at the same time as the television. It was about $90 but I subsequently saw it clearanced at $69. I think it was an Orbit(sp). It was easy to mount. There were three mounting options for my Vizio; I selected the closest fit, which does not angle. The tv protrudes less than 5.5". I would rather do it myself, than pay someone that doesn't know what plumb & level are.
-- I don't have no stinkin' flat-panel TV
But I do have a CRT OldSchool Tube that is HD!

#1 My Sony is on a dedicated TV stand I bought at WalMart. ( It was the only stand the could support a 200lb. TV under $65.00 )
It is in living room along with my Xbox 360, both connected to a Pioneer 7.1 Surround Sound Receiver.
#2 My JVC is sitting on a 3' high dresser in my bedroom along with my Xbox 180.

My Pioneer Elite PRO-FHD1 is stand-mounted on a custom-built shelf in my monitoring studio and my Pioneer PDP-5070HD is wall mounted on the opposite wall of the FHD1, again in my monitoring studio.
I wall mounted my 32" Samsung LCD myself in our master bedroom. I used a Sanus (not sure if I spelled it right) mount from Bestbuy. My neighbor helped me with the electrical. Had to crawl in the attic and drill a hole with a 24 inch drill bit. That was the worst part. The rest was a piece of cake. Cut holes in the drywall and fished the wire to another hole in the drywall below. Used a laser level to align the top and bottom cable plates. Used junction boxes and wall plates. I also installed a surge protector/line conditioner behind the TV. It was easier than I thought. I will definitely do the next one myself. Saved a lot of money and it looks like a pro job.
I have my 50" Panasonic plasma on a 60" wide cherry wood cabinet that houses my components behind glass doors and has drawers to hold my DVDs.
I have my 47" Vizio LCD on a custom built(by me)open front cabinet that houses my components and center channel speaker. It is also about 60" wide and about 30" tall.
We have ours on a set of cubes from Target.

I don't have one. Sigh.
In my living room and my RV! Bought a 46" Sony and hung it with a Moview articulating wall mount last year, then I got a 26" that I hung in my RV with another Moview mount. Awesome! The TV's and the mounts look great! I can't wait to camp this year.
