How can I setup my laptop to view DVDs and MP3s thru my ViewSonic Projector?
When I turn it on I can see power points and other desktop apps but not movies using the DVD player or Window Media Player or Real Player.
What must I do to resolve this issue?
PAY MONEY.
I'm not kidding. The MPEG LA (see http://www.mpegla.com ) charged per video STREAM. To show the DVD on the LCD is considered one "stream" and DVD playback software is purposely crippled to just one stream since not many will need TWO streams and another royalty fee.
I know this may be hard to swallow, but I've BTDT and more.
I'm surprised your laptop/desktop support doesn't know this one. And there are players that can skirt this issue. I don't know which ones.
