Hi guys i am new to this forum and would like to know your opinions since im not an expert with computers. I just want to know if this laptop with the specs listed below are decent and well for moderate gaming for its price $1581. Your welcome to state your opinion even if you feel its terrible. Thank You
Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7300 / 2.0 GHz
2 GB DDR-SDRAM
80 GB Hard Disk Drive (I have a 320 External HD, so i wanted to save)
NVIDIAŽ GeForceŽ 8400M GT
Also i wanted to know since the son website didnt state it exactly, how much MB does this video card run? They keep telling me the max rather than its specified. Thanks for your help
Actually thats how i configured mine. I don't generally store too much on my comp and i have an external drive as well so i got the 80 gig. I'm still waiting for my FZ, but it should be in before July. The first thing im going to do is see if i can run CS source on it. I highly doubt it will handle it very well but we will test it out. Either way, like i said in another FZ topic i found, Cnets review showed that it performed better than its competitors in the quake 4 test (http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/sony-vaio-fz180/4505-3121_7-32465689.html?tag=prod.txt.1). So in the market of INEXPENSIVE 15 inch multimedia notebooks... it might be the best choice if you do light gaming. Cant find much information about the 8400 GT and how well it runs in the comp, but im pretty sure its a 256MB. im sure as more of these computers are released in the next week or two we will hear more.
