Problem: I have a huge collection of digital music which I had shuffle from one hard drive to another. After I have done that or if I use a different computer to access my collection the jukebox doesn't recognize the labels anymore, only the track title. I have try Real, Musicmatch, Creative and independent software makers like Red and they all fail to recognize the labels. However, in the Windows file system everything is well organize...My Music...artist...album...song. I baffles me that no one has come up with a software that can recognize the folder names in their proper order and correctly label the music in the jukebox. Is there anyone aware of such software or jukebox? Is there is anyone up to the challenge of creating one? I can assure it will be a blockbuster.
BoxEasy Jukebox doesn't use tags to build a database so will work from well structured mp3 collections. Some people use it to run their entire collection off a portable drive (see the forum on the homepage).
Either way you can rescan a collection in only a few seconds.
It's what I use...
