I was given an old Dell laptop, an Inspiron 3500, Model TS30T, I think it is a Pentium 2. I would like to know if it is possible to install a P4 motherboard and get this back up and running as a P4. I have some knowledge of desktops, have never worked on a laptop, so don't know the limitations of this.
Thanks in advance.
From many easy reasons from motherboards don't fit to the P4 CPU was some 100 Watts which can melt the plastic and more..
Try this. Boot up Linux and see if it runs faster.
