First of, I'm not sure which section I should write this issue because I don't really know where the problem is.
I just got my new laptop. It's the small HP with Intel dualcore T7200 (2GHz), 2 gig or RAM and run by Window Vista Home Premium. This is my first Vista that use IE7.
I always use Microsoft Outlook Web Access to continue my office work at home. When I went into the Web Access thru IE7, I couldn't write any New Mail nor Repl or Forward. I could typed the recipients and Subjects but I couldn't access Message Body. The Message Body's box has the little red "x" sign and did not allow any text to be input.
When I used other browsers (on the new laptop)including AOL, I didn't have that problem. On my other notebooks, I also use IE7 but never give me this problem so I doubt about the default setting of IE7 being the culprit.
What is the problem here? I suspect that it has something to do with how the IE security setting set by Vista. If so, how do I modify the setting?
Thank you in advance.
Patch Outlook Web Access on IE7 and Windows Vista
"If your server does not have this update applied, you may experience the inability to compose and edit e-mail messages on OWA when running IE7 in Windows Vista. When this happens, you will see a red ‘x’ in place of your e-mail message body," explained B. Ashok, the Product Unit Manager for Web Development Tools.
I tried owa at work using Windows XP Pro and IE&. I couldn't even log in.
I have Internet Explorer 6, here at home. I had Internet Explorer 7 disable too many of my programs.
