I purchased a lcd flat panal monitor/tv to use on my pc plus watch tv on which is better the dvi or the d-sub connection. thanks for any imput.
DVI is better in the fact that the signal stays digital. With d-Sub the signal has to go from digital to analog then back to digital.
If the D/A (digital to analog)converters are good then this may not be a big problem. A lot of home theatre installers say they like anolog a bit better for long runs.On my computer monitor I have both inputs and have tried both. I really saw no difference.
As with any technology improvement, sometimes the improvement is only on paper and does not matter to the real world.
