I was talking to a friend the other night and somehow the issue of Google's mission statement, corporate philosophy or whatever you want to call it came up (lame I know). He made a good point that nowhere is statement do no evil specifically made.

It does say you can make money without doing evil. Similar sentiment but not nearly as forthright. I thought given the number of times that I hear the line do no evil rehashed this was worth bringing up.
Perhaps they're willing to do some evil at a loss given the amount of money the company is sitting on.
Is profit evil? some will say it leads to competition which boxes out smaller guys and is thus not sustainable (or...something like that).
it really depends on how you define evil. even the mainstream definition is hard to capture...
Read your link. If Google sticks with their philosopy, it's a good one and a good company. If they don't...
You can make money without doing evil --> Doing evil helps u make more money.
Easy to say, hard to practice.
Wish Goole be a innovative, admired firm.
