Gaming System - Monitors & Keyboards?

by Terry155 - 5/15/07 7:52 AM

I'm having a gaming system built by a local retailer and it will have dual core E6600 and an EVGA 8800 GTX vid card. Two questions:

1) Which monitor? Samsung Syncmaster 931C or LG 1960TR?

2) Which gaming keyboard? Logitech G15 or Saitek Eclipse II

hey there. are those your only monitor options ? you can get a 24" Widescreen Dell monitor (which is on sale right now) for $569. Do you have that much to spend ? If so, don't even think twice. Go to http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=dhs&cs=19&sku=320-4335
and check out this monitor.Even if you don't, just check it out anyway. You might change your mind. It's got excellent picture quality (I've seen it myself), 4.8/5 on 288 ratings, 4 USB ports, PIP, a 9-in-2 media card reader, PIP, and a max resolution of 1920 x 1200. Since you're willing to spend the money on an 8800 GTX, I really recommend spending a little bit more on this monitor coz otherwise, you won't be utilizing the 8800 card to the fullest.

PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND CHECK THIS MONITOR OUT.

As for the keyboard, I'd go with the Logitech G15. Maybe you could use the LCD screen in some games.
