It's scheduled sometime next quarter, but I have not seen any Specifications. I was thinking of purchasing an LX2 at a very good discount now, but I rather see if Panasonic resolves all the issues in the new LX3 and pay the premium. Aspherical lens and native 16:9 sensor are a great match.
Some of the short comings on the Panasonic LX2 of the following:
No ISO 80 or 50
Too Much Noise in Pics (microprocessor?)
Soft Pic results (microprocessor?)
Size is still a bit large for a compact (due to Barrel extension)
HD video only at 15fps
Short battery life
Any help appreciated!
Thanx
I have not heard of any announcements.
I don't see the ISO 80 or 50 happening.
They recently announced 11 cameras and none have that.
Panasonic appears to have made some headway in the noise area.
...But a lot of it is due to using noise reduction firmware.
HD video (746 x 497) is not likely to change to 30fps any time soon.
