I would consider myself a knowledgeable tech person. I use several web 2.0 sites on a daily basis, I have used Linux in the past. I am generally not a noob... yet when it came to upgrading my PC I was completely stumped!! How do I know what mainboard works with my CPU? will all the components fit in one of these smaller sized cases? What sort of expandability should I be getting?
A podcast on upgrading PCs would be great. Stuff like how to find out what components work with your current hardware.... hell, start with how you even find out what your current hardware is. Just generally clear some of the FUD associated with upgrading.
Perhaps then people might go about doing more upgrades rather than buying a whole new PC. You could perhaps tailor the upgrade information to include the specs needed for Vista...
