Sending large files over the internet

I watched the video clip of Tom Merritt suggesting alternatives for sending large files over the internet. One of the sites he suggested was yousendit.com. He stated that that site doesn't scan files for viruses. I checked the web site's support and they state that they do.

If I'm wrong, I apologise to Tom and all the readers, but if I'm right, please correct the statement.
