Anyone read any good reviews on the iRex iLiad a similar device to the Sony Reader? Looks pretty cool if you are into electronic books. So far I get the impression it is very promising but early days for the device. I'd be interested in views
Available from eBay. The additional software allows you to create new eBooks from html, txt, etc and transfer it to the reader.
Price was great and the backlit reader is very easy to use.

Thanks for that. How do you find the availability of ebooks?
Hows the battery life?
Battery life is about 8-10 hours with recharge to full in under an hour. You can turn the unit off, manually or automatically, and resume to where you were reading. Powers back up in seconds.
eBookwise native format ebooks are not common, however, trivial to convert using the Windows only, eBookwise Librarian software. Baen free library is a good starting point for free SF&F.
Ummmm, lot's of ebooks available on bittorrent or irc as well, but...
