whenever i turn up the sound on my computer too much, i start to hear static. It sort of overlaps with any sound i'm listening to on the computer. it always happens, even when i am just on the desktop with nothing running. i know that its not that the speakers are blown out or anything, because i hooked up my other speakers, and it does the same thing. could someone help? i'm using realtek high definition audio. i havent had this problem before. its almost as like i'm listening to a sound file thats just static, and gets louder as i turn up the speakers.
Have you checked the sticky note on conflicts with this audio driver and a new MS security update at the top of this page?
yea but the thing is, i never got any error message. it just started doing it. i havent had a problem accessing the realtek control panel or anything. i installed that thing you were talking about but it did nothing. it must be related though.
updated mine with the latest drivers from realtek's site and it fixed it. i find it odd that i never had the problem up until yesterday though.
