I run windows XP. The problem is whenever I change the disk space for temporary internet files, it comes back to 973 MB. How do I rectify this ?
Are you sure you hit 'apply' after you finished choosing how much you want the computer to use for temporary internet files? I always mess up there. And if that dosen't help, are you running Internet Explorer 6 or Internet Explorer 7? Or another?
Thanks for your reply. I use IE 6.0. The Apply button remains dimmed while doing this. I never had this problem before.
WAG.
Some things you might try.
Tools/int opts/temp int files/delete files....test.
Tools/int opts/temp int files/delete cookies....be aware that your prefs for web sites will vanish...test.
Grab a copy of this.
http://www.ccleaner.com/
Run the prog and let it cleanup things...test.
That might fix it (what 'bob b' said). You should try that. I keep trying to figure it out otherwise.
