I'd be careful

A lot of cleaning products, and especially polishing products, are bound to have chemicals that will release vapors into the air, that can find their way into your very expensive new game console, and damage things.

I wouldn't use anything other than a slightly damp cloth, which probably means you'll still be able to see fingerprints and what not, but you'll just have to live with that unless you can afford to buy a second or third PS3 on a whim.

Possibly Brasso

I've used Brasso to clean my iPod in the past, it did a great job and cleaned off all the fingerprints, marks, and even got rid of the smaller scratches while making the bigger ones alot less noticeable (including on the screen). I imagine it would work just as well with the PS3 but USE VERY LITTLE if you try it. Find an old t-shirt that you don't wear, clean it, and cut off both the sleeves; now cover the top of the Brasso can with the sleave and turn it over for a quick second so there's a little bit on the sleeve (if you think there's too much then fold the sleeve over on itself to absorb some of it). Now buff the PS3 staying away from any ports, power buttons or vents and when you're done go over it with the other (dry) sleeve to absorb any Brasso residue left on the console. I've never tried this with the PS3 but I think the plastic used is pretty much the same as the iPod so you should be fine, but it is a calculated risk.

I have used this product called "iKlear" and it worked great (it also cleans many other things).
