Office 2007 Installation Bug on Vista?

by derek328 - 4/16/07 4:32 AM

I have been using Office 2007 Beta on my preivous WindowsXP OS without any compatability issues at all. However, after I upgraded my system from XP to Vista and did a fresh reinstall of Office 2007 (deleted the beta)...

Whenever I start an Office 2007 program, eg Word, Excel, etc, there would be a popup saying "Please wait while Windows configures Office 2007" and loads an approximate 9-second installation. This also occurs to situations when I double-click on a Word, Excel file, etc, or even the "All Programs" shortcuts created during installation.

I tried reinstalling and repairing, I heard its an incomplete installation problem, but even with XPSP2 compatability mode turned on - the problem still exists.

What can I do to solve this? Any help would be great.
