by George Shadch_en - 4/12/07 7:33 PMI have a new HP laptop and two external drives. I want to export my important files to a company who can store them for me. I need approx. 60 GB of storage. Any idea of a trustworthy place, and not too expensive? Is putting all my info onto a DVD in Zip files and leave them in my safe an alternative? What happens in case of a fire and all my disk are burned?

Your offsite options might include a safe deposit box at the local bank, or, you could use a backup service like Carbonite. I have been using them for over 6 months and am pleased with the ease of use. You'll need a high speed internet connection, and the initial backup will take quite some time, so be prepared.
