I am very freaked out

by Ultimo01 - 4/10/07 7:15 PM

Well as by the title i am and the reason why is that I've been hearing voices in my computer speakers (it's one guy talking). This would be the second time I heard this a while before posting this but it is very faint and can only be heard by sticking my ear up to the speaker.

After the guy talks (hes talking to someone) there is a beep like a two-way after done talking on one. I'm just really confused and weirded out by hearing this for a second time. The guy also mentions something about a 36 B-mode or something other I think he said before going to a different channel I guess (could still hear him but so very little that I cannot hear what he is saying).

Hi, are you on broadband? Maybe it's possible for phone conversations to somehow get mixed up with your computer. Just a guess. I've been startled by voices when surfing, but they were from unexpected ads. I'll be waiting to hear other comments about this.

Sounds like you have something acting as

a tuner. I remember this to be commonplace years ago in audio amplifiers. One offender was HAM and CB radio...especially from those who used illegal boosters that generated signals outside of the prescribed band. As well, placement of components and wiring can aggravate this. The use of shielded wiring sometimes helps. I'm going to suspect HAM, CB or a cheap walkie talkie device. It might be correctable at your end, however.

I'm just glad that there could be some kind of explanation (besides me going crazy). But ya I'm 100% sure it wasn't ads though because it was the same guy from the first time, they were on different websites from each other, and there weren't any ads to begin with on the second website.
