Is the Creative vision M better than an Ipod Video.
It has DivX playback and longer battery life but what about userbility. I wouldnt use Itunes so is that the only reason to get an ipod

I own A Zen Vision m and I am not going to lie. The included software does have glitches but it works well most of the time. As for the video battery life, the ipod has 3.5 hours and the Zen has 4 although I can get around 5 hours during normal use. Plus you cant overlook the 250k screen (vs the ipod's 65k screen), the FM radio, the voice recorder, the custom EQ, USB host support in the 60 GB version and suscribtion service support.

And dont forget about other choices

The Zune looks good, although the WiFi is almost useless and if you shop around, you can find a Zen Vision W with a 4.3 inch widescreen for about 270. Plus heres something else I forgot to metion. The vision m's included software can transfer unprotected music both ways. The ipod needs 3rd party acccessories to do this.

Thanx people

I think the ipod video is too constrictive and i like the drag and drop interface that the creative vision M uses, the 60 GB version looks like it has enough for all my music and some films.

Sounds good

If size is a concern for you, then you might want to consider waiting for the thinner version of the 60GB Vision:M, which is the same thickness as the 30GB one. I'm not sure when Creative is going to release it in the U.S., but it should be sometime soon.

Stay away from Creative

Stay away from Creative. I have owned four players, three of which have experienced the same problem with the headphone jack. They would not take the fourth one back, so I am stuck with a Creative that plays sound out of one ear.

Buy new headphones. Anyways, Yea, the only thing keeping me from owning a zen, is the touch controls, i'm not good with those, and i've tried it too. But if it works for you, go for it!

That problem has long since been fixed

And as far as I know, it was only with the Zen Micros. I've never heard a headphone jack complaint with a Vision:M.
