I have a 19in wide screen View Sonic & the display is great! I picked this LCD monitor because of the reputation of zero dead pixels & they were right. And the model that I purchased VA1912wb was the only one left on the shelf, so it was an open box & works great. I switch hook-ups between my desktop & laptop and the display still is great no matter which computer I use. I most definitely recommend this monitor to anyone who wants one that they don't have to worry about, easy to hook-up & configure.
Why don't anyone build any larger screens than my 22"? This is a minimum with all the extra windows nowadays.
Extensive spreadsheets demand huge screens and for my work I would really have liked to have a 50 inch screen.
I have a 19" Samsung Syncmaster 920n. I got it from Buy.com for $200 with free shiping and no sales tax. I love it!
I think this flat screen, pivotable (from landscape to portrait), height adjustable, tiltable (both top-to-bottom and side-to-side) is the greatest thing since microwave ovens were invented. After struggling with desk-space-wasting, behemoth, hot monitors for 25 years, you couldn't pay me to go back.
It is perfect for both my image work and my spreadsheet programs, which are my two primary uses.
I have an E-machines 15" LCD monitor. I like the fact that it is lightweight and uses less energy than a CRT. My workspace is crowded and a CRT would not give me enough room. I leave the monitor on all the time. The only drawback is you have to be centered at the correct distance from it (about 2 feet) or you lose visability quickly.
I use it to adjust scans of watercolors for artists most of which I print on an Epson wide format printer. High quality stuff. It's a great flat screen CRT monitor but I would like to go to a non CRT flat screen that would have equal color representation which is really important in what I do. Any graphic artist found one that works well? Regards, Fran
And it does the job perfectly fine on my laptop. (Which is my main computer)
The monitor of my main computer is only 17 inches CRT. Its okey for now becuase at this time i can't afford to buy a LCD monitor. So far it is good the only i don't like is it occupy to much space on my table. Not like LCD monitor it is already DVI digital and soft to our eyes and occupy small space.
I use an Olevia 26inch flat LCD TV, mounted on the wall. Its great for games and movies, etc....
I have been using my monitor for 13 years now. It's a Nanao FlexScan F760i-W 21" CRT monitor. I would put this monitor up against any new HD, plasma or LCD any day. The only thing I don't like about it is it weighs a ton and not easy to move around. Never have had a problem, knock on wood, and expect to get several more years of service.
I have a Dell 19 inch flat screen crt.
It is a Sony Trinitron rebadged monitor.
It is now 5 years old and its wonky power supply setup is starting to fail (thank you, Sony) It still has a wonderful picture, though.
I would like a 19 inch LCD, but i waited too long and most of the ones now available are these silly wide screen thingys.
I have a 42 inch plasma for dvd and hd viewing. Why watch videos from the desktop?
Maybe I am just getting old. LOL ![]()
I like it. But I did buy external speakers for it.
22" Widescreen. Brilliant monitor. Bigger than our TV. If you are getting one, make sure you get an S panel one
