Help!

by micody - 3/29/07 10:03 AM

i just upgraded to windows xp pro the other day. and my problem started after the reboot. my free version of AVG 7.5 build 448 which was just install the same day before the upgrade, suddenly flashing a "License Error" after every startup and i cant access the antivirus program also. the main problem is that AVG7.5 build 448 wont uninstall from my computer. i try to uninstall it thru add/remove program and even thru AVG itself but no success,. i can see that the programs are being delelted but after the note successfully deleted its still there even in the add/remove program list. any suggestion or comment on this? pls help. thanks in advance.

1. Download the latest AVG Free installation package from [free.grisoft.com]
2. Run the AVG Free install file
3. Choose the Uninstall option and follow the setup wizard, when you get to the part to remove user settings, select it.
4. Restart your computer

You need to restart after doing #1 to # 3 so the uninstallation will proceed. Did you restart?

If the restarting the computer still keep AVG in your computer, please try scanreg /fix as per suggestion at their forum:
