I can't believe people are still using 14 inch screens. For personal computing that is. I know some businesses still use them.
Dual Medion Monitors

Got two MEDION monitors cheap and use dual monitors specially for running Photoshop. They were on sale in Lidl for 299 Euro (am in Ireland). Unusual to find them there. Wasn't expecting 'top of the range' quality. They are as good as my Sony 17" that cost 600euro two years ago.
It's worth shopping around and don't be swayed by Sony etc. The bargains are available if you check around

My oh my have those prices come down on LCD's! Still have the VP201b, after a few back light problems, but the price is way down on that product. Great for photography and games and plays HD files with ease using ATI Radion 800XL PCiE 256
CRT monitor - 22 inch

I've had a NEC FP2141SB monitor for several years (22 inch CRT monitor - 20 inch viewable area). I haven't seen an LCD monitor that will match it's color, speed, brightness, resolution, or refresh speed for any reasonable price since I bought this monitor. I don't understand the love affairs folks are having with LCD monitors.
I do understand that my monitor eats more desk space (not a concern with me), and is more power hungry than an LCD monitor, but I think the extra power used by my monitor is worth it. How many LCD monitors (at any kind of a reasonable price) will run at 2048 x 1536 at 50 to 86 Hz (I usually run 1600 x 1200 at 100 Hz).
I believe that someday LCD monitors may work as well (if not better) than my current CRT monitor, but until that time, I'm keeping my CRT monitor.

This has been a very nice monitor for my primary desktop - really like the widescreen aspect on flat panel (an upgrade from a 19" Dell CRT, which still works great on a secondary desktop despite being ancient - 9 years!). Typically run at 1280X1084 res; bought it in 2005 - no problems at all after lots of hard use; easy on the eyes compared to my laptop (Dell Inspiron with 15.4 inch UltraSharp WUXGA LCD panel).

I like the size of the monitor for viewing emails, surfing the net, etc. I would not even think of watching movies on this monitor.

I have a NEC MultiSync FE700+. It is a flat screen CRT and the colors are lively.

I have a 21" HP f2105 and it's a fantastic monitor. I use it for Photoshop work on my images and editing movies. It had a good review.

The thing is absolutely massive, but its got a flat screen and good picture, so I don't complain.

I have a Compaq Presario 17-inch monitor that actually measures somewhat less when you measaure diagonally. I don't know how Compaq Presario (read Hewlett-Packard) measures such things. When I asked HP Tech Support, they didn't know either.
Whatever its actual size, it suits my needs perfectly. Resolution is great!

It's great for the go (laptop), but at home, I hook up my mac via dvi to a 17", much better for working.
HP vs 19

Yup, an HP. It was a free replacement for the F1703 (I think, I can't remember the exact #). I love it so far. Have had it for over a year. And thanks to all of you for the input you left on these boards that allowed me to realize I was due a replacement. If not for you, I'm sure I would have had to spend quite a bit to get another. I love this place!
19" Flat-screen Monitor

I've got an HP vs19e that cost $80 (list price $300) when I ordered a new computer direct from HP. The increased work space from my old 15" is fantastic. I can truly have multiple windows open and can read everything in each window! When I run Flight Simulator X, the views are astounding.
19 inch LCD Envision

Great screen and view for the buck. Easy on the eyes...and I bought it in wide screen format, in the event I want to watch a movie.
I haven't gotten the latest TV for my family room. I still have a good Sony tube-type TV there. If and when it breaks, I will definitely look for a hi-def LCD TV for the family room. For now, my Envision is my movie center. I have baby klipsch speakers as well on the PC. I have a leather recliner by the PC...so comfort isn't bad.
