Do you think thats fair.I spend all this time in this thread as well as others might be reading it as well and will be deprived of the solution.

The purpose of the forum is for everyone too partaken in the discussion so every one can participate as well as benefit.

Tom,

That's a great point. We can learn so much from each other through forums like these. I get a lot of my solutions from this type of information and then trying it out on my computers to see if it works.

raks,

As I said, I do this for a living so giving you my contact info wouldn't be for free support. :-) I answer on boards like this when I have a few free minutes or if I see something that I know I can give a good answer to relatively quickly.

I'm not sure if English is your first language but you will get much better responses to requests if you take the time to use the words instead of all the shortcuts. In IMs it's ok but not as much on forums. Also, if you type in all caps, it's considered shouting and is often ignored.

Why not use legit sites?

by ShineCC - 3/22/07 7:39 AM In reply to: Wait for patch by Yastreb86

I'm not sure why you would be sending someone to look at a site in the Ukraine when all of the answers can be found in the Mozilla forums at http://forums.mozillazine.org/ or the main page for Firefox/Thunderbird at http://www.mozilla.com.

The site you pointed to is not in English so it is of little use to those who have been posting here. A quick Google search showed me that the site has been posted multiple times as the answer for various issues.

Note to those who may have clicked on the link: Make sure you do a thorough virus and malware scan of your computer. McAfee SiteAdvisor (http://www.siteadvisor.com/) would not allow me to view the site. I highly recommend installing this application to keep your browsing much safer. It works on both Firefox and IE.

No, I don't work for any of the companies that run the links I post. I just like to spread the word when I've found good sites/applications to help others surf more safely.
