I have heard that the earphones that come with most mp3 players suck and need to be upgraded. What is a good upgrade?
the best earbuds out there are probably ultimate ears ue-10, but they are like $700. I would recomend Sony mdr-ex71sl's they are great sounding and about $30.
I highly recommend the Soundwise G3 is head and shoulders above the sony MDR-EX71 and the Sennheiser CX300. Another contender which is not as good as the G3 but as good as the cx300 and better than the MDR-EX71 is the V-moda.
Try the Bose in ear headphones because it is really good and comfortable although a little pricey. It is the best in ear buds I have ever used so far.

Current owners can get these:
1. New eartips that are supposed to stay on the headphones better - will be shipping toward the end of March
2. Clothing clip and lanyard to reduce pull that may occur during increased activity, such as exercise - ships in June
To anyone that doesn't own these, they may feel wierd at first because they're not quite like other in ear headphones. You don't cram them in your ears. They're supposed to sit in the "bowls" - that curvy part right outside the entrance to the ear.
