Hello everyone I am new to the forum and I have a question. I just purchased a new Palm T/X the other day and a new laptop with the new Windows Vista program. I did not even bother to check if the two are compatible with one another. Does any one out there know if they are or will be?
Thanks
Armando
http://www.palm.com/us/products/handhelds/tx/specs.epl does not list Vista but it's not so much Vista but the applications it syncs with. You'll notice that Office 2007 is not listed as well as Vista. While I see no reason hotsync won't work you may have zero support for awhile.

Palm Desktop is compatable with Windows Vista. NotePad, Memo, To-Do, and others work well. As of now, quick install does not work. You can go to the palm website and they have a windows Vista Compatability page.
Many are discovering that turning off UAC fixes many things. Go figure.

does not seem to be the issue with this, I have UAC turned off. It seems to be software compatability. double-clicking a palm file puts in Quick Install, synchronizing the Palm makes the file dissappear out of Quick Install, but it does not install the file. For now, you have to copy/paste to your archive or backup folder. Or transfer the file to your memory card, then move it from inside the handheld.
What is that? I feel so lost with all these short acronyms. Well I don't know about this Vista so far I haven't even found a printer just yet that will work with it. I think that it has been brought out a little to early. Oh well. Thanks for the info everyone it will sure help me out and since my brother is now deciding to buy a T/X of his own it will be helpful for both of us to know all these things. Hey one more thing how do you download Google maps onto your PDA?

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=VISTA+UAC finds many nice articles about this. And more that I'll write any day of the week.
Hope this helps,
Bob
