I'm a newbie to Digital camcorder. I've read many reviews of Digital camcorders still the more i read, the more confused i got because English is not my mothertounge.
I've been considering Cannon DC 22 though it hasn't got good marksI need a camera for home, and vacation uses. Could you give me some advice to light the way for a newbie like me.

English IS my first language, and I am confused too..lol I have been doing research for my first camcorder for about a month now, and cant seem to make up my mind which is the best choice for me.
I know Canon is a good brand. Overall it looks like the DC22 is a good choice. Personally I am staying away from the DVD media type. From what I have read the video quality is not nearly as good as MiniDV(small tapes). Plus editing seems to be much easier with the MiniDv format.

I'm from VN. And we, here, all have the record transfered into VCD. as a result, the video quality is not good. That's the reason why i trust on new generation of camcorder (DVD camcorder)
I mean, editing the Minitape recording is out of my knowlede. But could you suggest some items that are worth looking at.
