I own a PS3 and it's been silently collecting dust, aside from the occasional BluRay rental. I've only played "Resistance, fall of man" and was somewhat disappointed with the quality compared to Gears Of War. I wondered what this lame sixaxis thing was about, since it didn't seem to do anything.
That is, until I received my copy of Motorstorm yesterday. I learned that you have to enable sixaxis in each game!! Now I am racing through the desert, and instead of using the sticks to steer, I am turning the controller like a steering wheel. It's awesome, challenging and actually forces me to move, ala Wii-mote... I can't believe this wasn't explained to me earlier.
Somes games motion control works well. Some people just pick it up right away with no problems. Others it takes a while for them to master it (as long as they give it at least a try).
By the way, have you tried 1st person view + motion control? Wow!
The 360 has been out for a year dont compare a launch title with Gears. Compare Gears with a game that comes out in 2008 for the PS3.
As for the Sixaxis i had a similar experience, only on Ridge Racer 7 another launch title. Using the sixaxis like a wireless wheel is awesome, its like playing another game completely. My online name is Rubz see you online!
