windows media player,

by peacefrog081 - 5/8/04 8:48 AM

I have recently noticed that windows media player has been playing my songs louder than winamp 5.0 pro does. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this, and if it is in fact true. I think i can almost see a considerable difference between the two players, does anyone else have any suggestions for media players that sound very good?

Yes, but there is no standard here that is being violated. There are some dozen audio players, but I've yet to see any agreement about what everyone would like.

It's much like a favorite flavor question.

Most media players have a built in volume adjustment that works in addition to the global volume adjustments you have in your mixer or volume control application. Could it simply be that Winamp has such a control and it is turned down somewhat and the volume slider in WMP is up full?
