I currently have a dell 700m, 12 in. Xbrite screen, weighs about 5.5 lbs. 40gb hard rive, 1 gb ram,dual layer dvd burner,5 hrs. battery life with upgraded battery, wifi, basic stuff, BUT
I Want:
Same size laptop, but thinner and lighter(perferable 3lbs. or less), a 80-100gb hard drive, long battery life(like 7 hrs.), bluetooth(data&audio), wifi, dual layer dvd burner,and multi memory card slot or just SD card slot.
Does anyone know of anything that has all this? Please let me know, I want to replace this thing ASAP.

Price between $1500-1700

for your use, I'd advise towards the W5 series (i think it's also available in black) or maybe the z33 series.
You can also try looking at the smaller Sony Vaio series. Although, their slightly overpriced. The tx series would suite your needs perfectly, cept their kinda out of your price range.

Ofcourse, there's always the dell xps 1210. Though a bit heavier at around 4.4 lbs, it's a bit more robust and comes with a lot of nice features.
