Cant use MSN with Vista
by dangum - 2/21/07 4:25 PMI just baught a new computer with windows vista and msn wont load. It comes up with the msg Data Execution Prevention is protecting your computer.
I went into thr DEP settings and tried to add msn into the 'allow' list but it says 'This program cannot run with DEP enabled'
Is there anyway around this?
Ive also had problems playing games, in setup it cant access/read .mpq files or it has data error - CRC
Is this all because of Vista?Anyway around it

I removed 8.1 and loaded 8.0 from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e010f88f-8574-4562-af6d-48dd23026b9d&DisplayLang=en
This sorted out my problem

May want to do a search, as I did, download newer version. Again, no problems...my problem deals with the wireless.
