How to adjust bass and treble on sounds and audio devices...

by jinoman - 2/22/07 5:20 PM

I have the Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002. How to I adjust the bass and treble on the sounds and audio devices? I need step by step instructions. I know how to do it on Windows XP Home Edition but for some reason I can't find the bass and treble on the sounds and audio devices feature of the Media Center Edition.

I don't use MCE, but I can do that in Windows Media Player, by selecting the view menu, then "Equalizer".

Hope thats helpful.

The sound adjustment you desire may be on the speakers themselves. For example, a typical 2.1 PC speaker system has a volume control on the bass/subwoofer unit. If too much bass, turn it down. If too much treble, turn it up.

I have Win. MCE 2005 and in addition to all the programs (e.g. Mood Logic and many DVD programs) it has a great RealTek high Definition Audio program.

Not sure about yours but you might check in your Control Panel and next to your Sounds & Audio Devices see if you have Sound Effect Manager. It has all the controls you're looking for plus weird sound effects you can can add while you're playing music in your favorite media player.
