Does anyone have any insiders on how to transfer ring tones to a Verizon RAZR V3m? The wonderful geniuses at Verizon have disabled the Bluetooth transfer for files. I am using a Mac, however I am open to PC solutions as well. I also have a microSD card (256mb). I don’t know if that will help. I know there are certain programs such as bitpim, p2k and some others, but I, for the life of me can’t get them to see my phone.
I have that same phone. I have tried multiple ways of getting ring tones on the phone. I managed to be able to get my phone to play a track that I put on it, but it did not give me the option to set it as a ring tone. There must be some part of the file that says its ok to be played as a ring tone.
BTW, the best method I found was to use my microSD card.
Let me know if you figure anything out
Transfer it to a card and then copy it over. Unless you have the Software that came with the phone. It has a transfer application between desktop and your phone. There is a lite version and a full version. If you are really happy with the phone overall, I think you should consider getting someone to unlock it for you. I think it is crap that you should be handcuffed the way you are with that phone.
PS. The lite version of the motorola software would do it all for you.
how would I go about doing that, or do you know someone that could help me with that?
Sorry it took so long to reply, but I think your going to have to google it to find someone near you. I was surprised when I first arrived in Ireland how many places there are to unlock phones. But the EU does have different rules about being shackled to phone companies.
Sorry I can't help you there, but perhaps someone else may be able to point you in the right direction.
Cheers!
