Buzz feed change?
by dizzydogg - 2/2/07 4:01 AMAm I the only person that has had a change with the feed for the podcast? It use to show in intunes as "Buzz out loud" (album title), thus was always first on my list. Now it is showing as "CNET.com". I also went to iTunes and it was listing as "Buzz Out Loud", but the most recent episode was yesterdays, not today's that I have in my iTunes download list.

Caused by "bug fix" in XML

</itunes:owner>
Previous version caused itunes:name to be masked.

I guess if <itunes:name> is not enclosed in the <itunes:owner> elements it uses it for the podcast name. Weird.
Enclosing the <itunes:name> element back in the <itunes:owner> element should fix the problem since this is how the iTunes RSS tag specification says it is supposed to be.

The original format is to spec. The behavior of <channel><itunes:name> is undocumented but real. Either a bug or a feature.

I sent an email to buzz@cnet.com last night, so hopefully theyv caught it and fixed it.

I was initially annoyed, but once I knew where to look for it, I figured there must be some reason they changed it.

Through me for a loop the other night when I scrolled the iPod and looked for Buzz Out Loud and couldn't find it.
