Dont know which one to choose the 8gb ipod nano or the 30gb ipod video?
Nano is flash based and doesn't have a harddrive you can damge moving around. The other one on the other hand does, and can be harmed easily running, Mountain Biking etc.
Hope that helps!
1. On what you're planning on using it for. Like the previous poster said - If you're planning on using it for rigorous activity, go for the Nano. If not, go for Video. I own both, but before I got the Nano, I ran with my Video one, and before that with my Mini and both of those have hard drives and worked just fine.
2. How much music do you have and if you have more than 8GB, do you want to carry it all?
3. Do you care about video?
4. Does physical size and weight matter to you? Do you want smaller and lightweight?
