PDAs: axim 51v help
axim 51v help
by skateok - 12/31/06 8:18 PMAlmost always when I try to download a program on my pda (like flash for pocket pc), that are made for pocket pc, after downloading it when I try to open the program it says it is not a valid pocket pc program. What am I doing wrong?

Are these .CAB files or are they .EXE files?

.CAB files are the ones that can be copied onto your PDA and installed directly. .EXE files, on the other hand, must be launched on your computer while your PC and PDA are connected using ActiveSync. The installer will run on your computer, transferring and installing the program onto your PDA as well as installing shortcuts and such on your PC. My guess is that you are trying to copy the .EXE to your PDA and install it directly since it states 'for your PocketPC,' a common misconception.
