digital editing on the mac

I demo'd and ultimately bought ($23) a program called VisualHub for my mac.
the software was extremely easy to install and operate and it converts the files from the HDD into "dv" files which go right into imovie with no problems. the sw does other stuff as well but i only use it for this.
there is a demo which you should try first. i am very happy with the program. it was the only universal binary i have found and as such it is very fast...
