im in the market to purchase a new vehicle and i have narrowed it down to these two. I just wanted some feedback on which one was better as an overall car. I know people with both cars and they both and very reliable and powerful machines. My main concern with the Civic was its in dash system that is very unique-does any aftermarker company make a replacement for an aftermarket system or could i go to Best Buy or some place like that to get that?-the RSX has a unique in dash system too, but i already know many places that sell aftermarket replacements for it and i know that Best Buy carries it as well-as for the engines, they are both i-vtec engines both made by honda with very little power differnce between them-any feedback would be appreciated
Second tank of gas got about 35 MPG so that's a plus.

Both of the cars that you mentioned are pieces of junk. go with domestic cars
You're an IDIOT. Please do NOT come to a "Battle of the Wits" showdown unarmed.
this is referred to a wiring harness ,and alpine i believe has a different connection on the back of its unit than does the pioneer
Very close in performance due to similar suspension and drivetrain pieces although i believe the rsx is about 100 pounds lighter than the si. And the rsx is an acura in north america so it's obviously more prestige and luxurious than the civic. And concerning the dash systems hondas are the some of the most widely modified cars in the world so there's definitely a company that makes a system for them.
Oh this question...
First and above all: Both use very similar transmissions and all the 6 speed honda trannies suffer from having a tendancy to slip out of 3rd. changing the fluid tends to help a bit.
Granted the RSX has a bit more power and a little bit more snappy body and leather options, however, if you intend to modify it the Rsx is a bit better, however if you choose to do your own work be warned that the RSX is a nightmare to work on.
I have a 2007 Civic EX and 2 friends both with 07 SI's. its a larger car and handles better despite not being considered "performance" class such as the RSX.
My father works for an Acura dealer as a tech team leader and he's seen countless RSX come in for repair from things such as loss of control or blown engine/trannies (especially in the 6 speed). The day the RSX production kill was announced he came home happy.
