Folks:
So I got a new Nokia E62, and a 2 GB miniSD card... so now I am tempted to rip my non-copy-protected DVDs and watch it on my phone.
I tried a few DVD-to-Nokia/iPod programs, which gave me either a *.3GPP or *.MP4 file. The file looks good on my PC... but:
1. When I transfer the *.MP4 (or *.3GPP) file to my Nokia E62 using Nokia's PC Suite,
1a. selecting *.3GPP @ the unlimited, highest resolution [352x188?] setting for the PC Suite output gives a very small (~1cm x 3 cm) image, despite chosing "full screen" mode. File size is 1/3rd the original *.MP4 file. (It appears PC Suite is compressing the file further.)
1b. selecting *.MP4 as the PC Suite output gives only an audio file!
2. I used DVD-to-iPod to convert the DVD to *.MP4, and transferred it directly to my miniSD card. So this file *can* show a big picture, except the video completely freezes up, and the audio comes alive in spurts (sort of like the phone is buffering the data before releasing it).
Any ideas or suggestions? Much appreciated!
Thanks,
RS
Hoping the original post just got lost in the holiday rush, and there's somebody out there who can help me.
Thanks,
RS
