Check out bennyq's posts under his profile. Interesting, he asked a question about the rebate center's address to which I replied (and he knocked the website I referred him to)and now it appears he may work for InPhonic since he is apparently mailing you a check??? The hits just keep on coming!!!
Lars:
Ben is an intern in my office, who was following up with folks who've e-mailed me through this Cnet thread. He posted on my behalf, and was confused as to how to do so... don't worry, the e-mail response I sent you was directly from me, and is accurate regarding your rebate status. Your checks will be mailed with the next batch.
Thanks, and sorry for the confusion. I'm hoping that we're helping a lot of people by replying as quickly as we can, and by getting this next batch of checks out ASAP.

Like I said, check out the posts under bennyq's profile...If he was an intern why would he be asking other forum members about the Rebate Center's Minnesota address? And the typing styles are awfully similar...
bltowsley:
True, Ben was a little overzealous in his attempt to gauge how well we've spread the word about our new rebate center. I've instructed him to be up-front and direct on these boards from now on... we're here, first and foremost, to try and help streamline the rebate process by providing direct contact info and answering questions.
Ben knows that now, and I'm working hard to provide a communications channel for everyone here at Cnet.
First of all you wouldn't need to be ''upfront & direct'' if you'd just paid the rebates to begin with. Instead of watching these forums and trying to do damage control you should be printing checks. Save yourself time embedding employees on these sites and pay the rebates in a timely manner. Your method of operation is fraudulent and the 100's, if not 1000's, of dissatisfied customers are proof. There wouldn't be a class action lawsuit against InPhonics nor would the Attorney General's office have filed suit if your company was ''upfront & direct'' not to mention honest.

Whats going on?
Lars:
Much like the letter Chander reported receiving elsewhere in this thread, you can disregard the info in that e-mail. My personalized responses trump any "form letters" you might receive...
Thanks for keeping me up to date on your situation, and don't worry-- the 5-10 day period I mentioned is the proper time frame.
Jon
Jon, will I be receiving my rebates in 5-10 days? I have sent an e-mail to you with my information.
Maybe ...just maybe you will get your rebate. I got mine this week after 11 months! don't give up.
I've seen a bunch of other posts that say the number does work.... hmm...? Also, people who seem to have gotten through and received their rebates seem to be sticking to their own threads (like this one http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-7817_7-0.html?forumID=74&messageID=2119680&threadID=197016) so it doesn't appear to be as negative an experience as this one thread makes it seem.
Whatever. I stick to deals that don't rely on rebates. Rebates are nice extras. Besides, when I look at Wirefly now, I'm seeing fewer and fewer rebates, so the company seems to have learned their lesson. Now if only consumers would.

The number is just part of the scam. Now they're "reprocessing"? Sure. I am personally going to bash these frauds on as many bb's as possible. Also, I will be contacting the SEC.
Hi Mr. Delahay,
I have heard a lot of good thing about you helping people get back their rebates.
I hope you can help me here.
We bought a pair of RAZR V3 phones back in Dec 14, 2005,
the order number is 3089-63333 ,
under my wife name, SOK TOI KEE
I can tell you that my wife is a organized person that she followed all direction/instruction
to fill the rebate form and mailed out timely.
She called the rebate center asking about the rebate but they said it has been denied
because we did not follow instruction or missing some info but this is not true at all.
My wife even cried when asking back for the rebate thru them
and we arqued many times because of this.
I know you are a busy person helping other people,
I really hope that you can spend a little time find this order number
and try to get back our rebate.
Thank you in advance.
Raymond Fong
The person who helped me in the end was Legal Assistant Hollie Kapos at 202-333-0001.
I really HATES Wirefly who ruined my believes in trusting people.
In Conclusion: Don't purchase phones from Wirefly!
I also purchased 2 cellphones from Wirefly. It came with two steps rebates, one for $30 each, another for $50 (or $75 I don’t remember!) each.
Today I received a letter saying “The combined value of all of your rebate claim submissions exceed what you are eligible for based on your order. All valid rebate amounts on your order have been paid.”.
They have NOT paid me a penny.
I called them 1866-607-9877, and they say they will “Research” this case, and will have a result in TWO to THREE weeks.
This business model is just against honest policy that we are all proud of. They trick you in the first place, and want to fool you as much as possible, and eventually they may say the mail is lost and they are not responsible for it.
I am tired of it.
