I am wondering what would be the best Gaming Laptop for $2500CD (Roughly $3000USD)...I want 2GIG RAM with preferably 512MB Dedicated graphics...Also im wondering whether the difference between AMD Turion 64/AMD Turion 64 X2 and Intel Core Duo..What's better? Is it that much better?..
I dont know that much about computers but my friends say never to get an Intel if its for gaming..Can anyone tell me if it is really that bad?
Thanks..
This by far one of the best gaming laptops; however the catch is that I got mine as a refurb. That's right...a certified refurb and it works like a dream. It was being sold for ~$2600 and with free shipping and taxes came out to ~$2800. Granted the system, brand new, is almost $4k. The specs are windows xp pro, 2gig of ram, a 100g hdd, 2.33 duo core processor and a (the best part) 512 7900 nVidia vid card. So far I loaded up my World of Warcraft, increased the settings and now I find it works better than my current desktop. Can't wait to bring it to the next lan party!!
I had been keeping an eye on the site for some time and the moment that laptop came up I immediately snatched it up. The inventory at dell.com changes just about every minute it seems, so you need to act fast. Good luck!!
You can configure it with DUAL 512 MB NVIDIA vid cards and 2 gigs of RAM for under $3k. Or you can trim down to a single 512MB vid card and go with a beefier processor and still stay under $3k.
