The bol crew has been away since last Tuesday and there has been a lot of tech news to sort through.
Here is just a sample of the big headlines from the Forum, as well as 1 or 2 that I've seen online that haven't been mentioned here(in no particular order):
-Firefly returns as a MMORPG
-YouTube now allowing recording of video
-WiiMote lawsuits
-Digruntled Dell Customer sues Dell and wins:

-.tivo encryption hacked for use on Linux and Macs. Leads to someone already creating a GUI for it for Macs. Will Linux follow suit?
-gmail open to the public
-the powerglove and the wii?
-Speaking of the Wii, Nintendo says they won't make their #s by the end of the year, as expected.

What else do you think the crew will be covering, tech-wise?
I wouldn't be surprised if there is no show until Wednesday. James Kim's services aren't until Tuesday, and we know how close this is to the BOL crew.
Sure, there has been a lot of tech news, but I suspect that Molly, Tom & Veronica haven't been able to pay much attention. At times like this, one can't focus on things that would otherwise be very important to them. I love BOL! But, I would have no problem with there being no podcast for days or even weeks if that is what they need.
Molly, Tom & Veronica: There is no reason to hurry back until you are ready!
I wholeheartedly agree. If I feel an urge to find out what's new in tech I'll go look it up. I listen to BOL mostly for Tom Molly and Veronica's interaction. I really do wish them all the best and hope they take the time needed.
it's been weird, i haven't had many podcasts to listen to in awhile. most of my podcasts have people involved that knew or worked James Kim.
Veronica and I made the decision to come back starting today. We need this. The services were this weekend and it was good to see friends and family.
So we're using today as the junping off point to try to move on without ever forgetting.
Thanks to everyone for your overwhelming, incredible support. It helped. It truly helped.
I didn't realize that services weren't until Tuesday.
I completely agree that they have more important things on their mind and wouldn't be surprised if they waited till after services were completed.
Everyone's just been in such a down mood. I was hoping to just bring people around and talk about what James loved the most, at least of what we saw, the tech. And if you ever saw one of his reviews, or listened to him on MP3insider, or watched him on the Crave video blog, you knew he loved his tech.
I don't remember where I read it, or heard it, but his life should be celebrated.
And before I get flamed, yes I have lost. Everyone mourns in their own way. I didn't know him personally, but would he want to be mourned over or celebrated? Let's talk about the good.
TMV have really struck me for being very good at deciding whether or not doing or not doing something is really worth it. Their recently displayed strength shows me that they'll use the same frame of mind as they move forward with BOL.
It may sound a little cheesy, but you and I and everyone here have the each other and forums to use and liven up and give respect and space to those who morn. I think one of the best thing we can do is to greet TMV back with open arms and smiles as much as can be done online.
I heard the story about gmail being "open", and then heard that it still needs to be verified by a mobile phone. Between this method and the invite method, I think the level of friction is low for genuine users to get connected, but appropriate for stopping spam bots. Does gmail really need to be easier?
I agree with comments already posted about coming to BOL for the hosts. Only TMV know when they are/will be ready to record a new BOL and we'll be here when they are ready.

or just wait another week or so. . I've been listing daily for about 7 months and love the show, but somethings are more important. I'm sure all of your regular listeners will understand.
