I use Outlook Express.
I have a personal website.
My computer is compaq about a year old running XP
A few weeks ago I started getting numerous returned emails from various mailer daemons. Often a dozen or more per day.
It is mail I never sent.
It has bogus names and addresses, for example
It is said to be from "Suzy" at xfjucvrq@myname.net or it could be "Heather" at opjslq@myname.net
There are no such persons, and I have never created email aliases like that. The only email addresses I have created are pretty straightforward: me@myname.net, info@ etc etc.
What's going on?
thanks
I have never created an alias like that
To get around email filters, spammers 'bounce' email off of servers that send delivery failure messages.
Nothing busted here. Just a spammer's tricks.

Thanks Bob
So basically, just ignore it, except for the minute or two hassle of deleting those bounced emails?
Just so you know what I use now. Not that you need to know.
