Geocities took down my website a few years ago, but I used to have one devoted to the (fiction) writing I did. Ah, well; if I ever have time I'll create another site...

I have a blog--does that count? It describes our quest for a place to retire, how we came to choose Mexico, our move, and the building of our house up to now. Of course it also includes many relevant photos.

The site was created by CitiPrice, in New York. Maintenance I have to do, but don't have much knowledge, just learn as I go. I have not been able to make the money I spent doing the site.

In March of 2005, I launched a web site that I named “AccessWilliamsport.org.” After years of experiencing and witnessing human rights violations in my hometown, I decided to go public and tell the world about what’s going on here and throughout America. The web gives all of us unprecedented power to say what we want to say without going through the censorship of the media. I encourage everybody to get out the word on human rights violations like the ones I document on my website, and let’s not give anybody any place to hide.

I launched Tuxedo Junction at http://www.tuxjunction.net in October 2000. It is a big band web site that today features about 1,000 songs, a number of articles, and plenty of photos. To date, more than 450,000 people from all over the world have visited Tuxedo Junction.
It is a real kick for me to work on Tuxedo Junction. From time to time, I'll add new web pages and songs to the site. Right now, I'm in the middle of adding some contemporary big band leaders, who show that big band music is alive and well in the 21st Century.
In October 2005, I launched a companion big band web site, The Palomar, at http://milliondreamsago.net. The Palomar features big band radio broadcasts from the 1930s and 1940s (and a few from later years). It has attracted its own loyal group of followers.
I didn't know a thing about web design when I launched Tuxedo Junction. A friend gave me Microsoft FrontPage 1998. I bought a thin "how to" book and followed it. Later, in 2001-2002, I took a nine-month course in web design, which helped me a great deal.
My interest in big band music goes back to my early years. Born in 1940, I heard this music on the radio and on the phonograph while I was growing up. I started buying my own records in 1949. I have a decent record collection today, by no means as large as many others I have read about.
During the late 1970s and early 1980s, I hosted my own big band radio program in Chicago. It was called "The Saturday Swing Shift" and aired on WHPK-FM and later WBEZ-FM. You can hear some of these broadcasts on The Palomar.
