MP3 player for a vechicle

My CD player in my truck is bad order; a replace in kind is about $600.00. Is there a MP3 portable player with built in amp that I could use in my car; one that I can take in and out...bear in mind I am NOT seeking great sound; just want to listen to music without using ear phone.

With some 14+ hours on a CDR he quickly warmed up to the idea of popping sets of MP3s onto his set of now 2 to 3 CDRs and carrying those in the truck. The player is a "non-target" for theft. No big LCD or anything fancy. Just MP3 CD as a feature and some display of track and MP3 tag. It was stock in the Ford trucks and didn't add to the vehicle price. Bet it was cheap. I'd like that.
