The new IE7 is great. It works, which is much more than I can say for Firefox 2.0, which promptly crashed immediately after being installed.
I downloaded Firefox 2.0 the other day and it installed perfectly and works perfectly. It even automatically found and downloaded the newest version of the Fasterfox extension that works with FF2.0.
My bad luck is with Opera. I used to use it, but now it just doesn't work for me. I have no idea why.
I did download IE 7 and I hated it. I found you can't do some of the things you can with IE 6. So I will not use IE 7.
hi everyone
the reason,IE7 or IE6 never works on my pc.I had this problem for more 10 month.i even format my pc thinking this will solve the problem, nothing helped.
I was using IE6,the problem is,all the times(the page cannot be displayed) come up,i download IE7 thinking this will solve the problem, the same error(rubbish).
I download firefox it was brilliant(no problem at all),it works perfectly well.i am still using firefox, and will never use IE6 or IE7 anymore.
IE is the most inefficient, buggy, useless piece of software ever cobbled together!.
If there was any justice it would be banned worldwide.
Compared to Firefox, it is a load of junk!
I don't care what microsoft does to it, IE is still crappy old IE. Basically all they've done is -attempt- to copy-cat firefox, but Firefox still PWNS internet explorer.
i agree totally....ei is garbage....fire fox rules
I totally agree. Firefox over IE anyday. IE is junk no matter what version.
Yes, I will happily use IE7 when the following ten events happen, or the top 10 reason NOT to use IE7:
10. Microsoft put out an OS that is mostly error free and secure [please see number 1. above.]
9. IE7 is bug free, and totally secure [again see number 1. above.]
8. Law passed requiring IE7 use only.
7. Microsoft is the ONLY software available.
6. Forced to use a regular Windows [windoze] based PC.
5. Firefox, Opera, or Netscape are no longer available.
4. Forced to use it because a Internet site is only viewable with it, [then I really don't care about that site anyway.]
3. Microsoft will pay me to use IE7 just like it did for email tracking.
2. Apple stops making computers.
1. When an eternally hot region freezes over [ie. hades/heck freezes over.]
I have downloaded it and I do not like it because I use a program called Roboform daily and it does not work with IE 7.
At the moment I use Win2000Pro and IE7 does not operate on Win2000. If I am forced to change, I will go for LINUX/Firefox and say goodbye to Win2000.
These kind of actions only bring me closer to finally saying goodbye to MS.
The question should preferably have been: which of the following browsers do you prefer:
Opera
Firefox
IE Explorer
My first choice is Opera - available in mutiple languages and very friendly as far as downloads (and resuming download link breakages) are concerned.
I agree with you, more browsers should have been listed. One other browser which should also be included is Avant browser since it is listed as one of the 3 most popular browsers on Cnet. Avant (up to Version 10 build 52) is my choice over IE (Version 6 & 7) and Firefox 2. I don't like Firefox's and IE7'S search dialog box being in the upper right hand corner. People read from left to right so why not have the option to click on the search button in IE and have a dialog box open up on the right hand side of the browser like Avant does. The biggest thing I didn't like about FireFox (any version) is the unability to display my Favoites in multiple columns. I have, and I'm sure others do, any where from 50 to 100s of "Favorite" yet Avant is the only browser I've found that displays them in multiple columns. In Firefox and IE you have to scroll down through your list.
I have been using IE 7 since the last Beta Release and I love it. Particularly ...
1. The tabs ... I always have at least 4-5 sites running at the same time, so the tabs are great!
2. The autoscaled printing! Always hated the fact that previous IE's did not scale automatically cutting off part of the page.
Because I did it twice and seen my computers stucks as IE6 was better off with my system and when it comes to uninstall it does not replace the IE6 back as it was been removed during IE7 installation so all icons and file extension of IE7 remains in the system where IE6 finds more difficult to run!
